A Temporary Experimental Bus Stop has been added to the Northside Route at the new Goodwill Store on 280 Bypass, next to the new Waffle House, and across the street from the Walmart stop.  This bus stop will be after Bus Stop #10 (Regional Rehabilitation Hospital) at approximately :23 minutes after the hour.  PEX will be evaluating this stop to see if it needs to be added to the schedule permanently.

 

PHENIX CITY EXPRESS (PEX)

Take advantage of the Phenix City Express’ (PEX) convenient bus schedule and routes. 
PEX operates a fixed route and paratransit service within the city limits of Phenix City.  However, the PEX Fixed Route travels into Columbus, GA to drop passengers off at a METRA stop to allow riders to transfer to a METRA bus.  PEX also offers a paratransit service into Columbus, GA for medical visits only.

It’s an easy, inexpensive and convenient way to travel.  PEX is for anyone who needs transportation, wants to protect the environment, or wants to save money on gasoline costs.  Whether you are traveling to work, to school, or to shopping areas across town, PEX will get you where you want to go!

Monday thru Friday

*Sr. Citizen/disabled $ .50  $ 7.50
*Children (5-17) $ .75 $11.25

Drivers do not make change.  You must have correct change for each fare listed above.   Farecards can be bought from the bus driver.

PEX PARATRANSIT FARES

$2.00 one way – Inside the city limits of Phenix City and
inside the city limits of Columbus for medical visits only

****Must be certified by a physician to ride the paratransit.****

IF YOU WILL BE HAVING ANY CHILDREN RIDING WITH YOU, YOU MUST PROVIDE A CAR SEAT IN ORDER TO RIDE.

20 lbs or less - Rear facing car seat

20lbs-40lbs - Front facing car seat

Booster seats are required until the child is six years of age

  • The black route and stops represent the PEX Northside Fixed Route and the red route and stops represent the PEX Southside Fixed Route.

  • The Central Activies Center (North and South Route Stop #1) is the transfer stop between the Northside and Southside Fixed Routes.
