PHENIX CITY EXPRESS (PEX)

Take advantage of the Phenix City Express’ (PEX) convenient bus schedule and routes.    PEX operates a fixed route and paratransit service for the City of Phenix City.  The PEX Fixed Route has designated bus stops in the city limits of Phenix City and also travels into Columbus, GA to drop passengers off at a METRA stop to allow riders to transfer to a METRA bus.    The PEX Paratransit Service operates within a ¾ mile radius of the PEX Fixed Route as well as in additional areas within the City limits of Phenix City and Columbus.

Drivers do not make change.  You must have correct change for each fare listed above.   Farecards can be bought from the bus driver.

****Must be certified by a physician to ride the paratransit.****

IF YOU WILL BE HAVING ANY CHILDREN RIDING WITH YOU, YOU MUST PROVIDE A CAR SEAT IN ORDER TO RIDE.

20 lbs or less - Rear facing car seat

20lbs-40lbs - Front facing car seat

Booster seats are required until the child is six years of age

• The black route and stops represent the PEX Northside Fixed Route and the red route and stops represent the PEX Southside Fixed Route.

• The Central Activies Center (North and South Route Stop #1) is the transfer stop between the Northside and Southside Fixed Routes.

• The 2nd Avenue stop (South Route Stop #24) is the transfer between PEX and the Columbus Metro.
